Just wondering everyone’s thoughts on a camo shotgun for turkey hunting. How important is it?

my dedicated turkey gun is a super Nova in real tree.

I was wondering if my waterfowl - benelli super black eagle 2 in Max 4 camo would be fine as well? Or do you think the max 4 would stick out like a sore thumb in a woods scenario.

I do not think it'll matter one bit. My turkey hunting buddy and I have never used a Camo shotgun at all and we combined have killed many birds. All long as you are not moving it the turkeys won't notice it.

I have used a plain black shotgun for every turkey I’ve ever shot. Same goes for multiple of my hunting buddies. Shot one with a plain black shotgun yesterday matter of fact!

Not necessary however a few cans of krylon can look cool and beat a $200 dip job.

My lady has shot two inside of 15 yards with a blued 870.

My everything shotgun is a spray painted SBE that used to be a mixture of black and rust.

It doesn't matter what color it is.

I think it's very important. I've had birds spook because of it. I find that I can get away with more last minute movement once the bird gets into shotgun range with a camo gun. YMMV

Ive shot 2 birds a year the last 10 years with those old side by side 10 and they don’t seem to mind it

I don't think ive had a problem either using a black gun unless I had a dumb set up. but if your tucked back off an edge a little bit where the turkey has to be in a shooting lane to really see all of you, then your guns most likely pointing at him already and then its a smaller area then your phone he can see from his angle. my vote is its only a factor if your set up is poor, and thatll be one of those im a dumb ass moments for even thinking of setting up like that.
