Short Draw Arrow Setup-what do you shoot?

I went from injexions 26” carbon to nock throat. 2 steel deep six Inserts. They were 447 if I remember right traveling at 270.

I switched to axis 340s, 26” carbon to throat of nock. 50g brass with a 25g iron will collar. 100g head. Couldn’t tell you the speed on my 68lb triax but I can tell you I’m not setting any records with speed.

Greatly prefer the quiet shot, combined with the penetration on target of 450+ even if it means going slow.

For me at 26” to go by the 280fps rule we see preached, I’d be shooting a damn light arrow. Or pulling 80lb limbs.

Got to wait a couple weeks till deer season opens here in Iowa to find out how my new set up works , went heavier on arrows than ever have , FPs and BHs grouping together , set up is working well ........... in practice
