I did the same thing. I’m getting .5 MOA with factory 143 eldx but haven’t got speeds yet. Planning on it next week.

Mine shot good with the factory too, but I was just using them for break in. Hammers from here on out.

this seems odd. I wouldn’t expect more than 30 FPS.

The 2850 speeds were from the crono and also on a new barrel, I have about a 100 rounds down the pipe now. The 3050 speed was my trued speed out to 1000 yards. I bet those numbers will be closer now.....

Wow, I wish my TB- 7 Ultra would give me 200 FPS.

Something doesn't add up. Maybe your initial speed was way off?

RL26 would be one to try. I think 570 like in the short mags is too slow. I have not played with retumbo enough to know.

We have shot more animals with the 147s but I would choose the 156s because I think they're a little harder and open a little slower without a tip. This is just my option from what I have witnessed.

This is awesome. I've been going back and forth about stripping my action out of my CA Mesa and building a 20"or 22" build with a PR barrel and stock.

That or I sell the CA Mesa and start from the ground up.

There’s a whole thread over on long range only about load development for the 156 Bergers using VV565 out of a CA Traverse. It’s a long one but has some very valuable information.

Ryan, going from the 22” to the 20” + P, won’t you likely be near the exact same speeds? Are you just doing it in an effort to be shorter?
