Just wondering if everyone that bowhunts can shoot with the larger packs on? Something like the EMR II, or Nomad with camp bag and lid, etc... I have not had a bag like that yet. I will be getting one soon. Or if you have time to set up do you drop the pack when possible?

Once I get the new pack I'll be shooting in the yard to find out all the restrictions.

I practice at my local archery club with 29 stations with a lot of uphill/downhill with my kifaru dt1 and have never had a problem shooting with my pack on.

I ordered a kifaru bikini frame with the hope that I could shoot with it on. I plan on a nomad.

I have worn a pack during every archery kill I have.

Just make sure you practice with it on and don't over tighten the load lifter straps and you should be fine. If I notice I'm a little more wobbly with my pack on practicing and I loosen the load lifters a tiny bit I am much more stable. I never drop my pack to take a shot.

Have shot my bow (at a target) standing and kneeling while wearing a T1 and Kit bag on the front. No issues.

My Paradox Unaweep does fine when shooting as well. Been practicing with it packed up a lot lately as I have a hunt coming up.

I shoot wearing a DT1 with 55lbs in it, no worries.

As long as you don't restrict your shoulder movement you shouldn't have any problems. So, use a waist belt to support the weight and don't over tighten the shoulder straps or chest strap and you should be fine. Just make sure you practice with it to learn where the little problems are.

I have shot several arrows practicing and a few at deer with my Blue Widow on. I am very comfortable shooting with it on. It may be weird but for this mostly white tail tree stand hunter it reminds me of shooting with a safety harness on so it actually seems very normal.
