Thanks guys. I do plan to practice a ton with a pack on, and from my knees, etc... I've been a bowhunter since 1982, shot competitive paper and 3d, and like to shoot year around. But mostly hunt from a treestand for whitetails. So it will be a little new to me.
Shot my 2014 CO buck with pack in day hunt mode squatting low like I was answering the call of nature. (Had to squeeze arrow through a hole half way to him)
Had pack in day mode for 14 CO elk too.
For my 14 MT elk I had the 7200 pack filled with everything I needed for 10 plus days in backcountry. Had to get aggressive and sprint downhill to get shot.
I honestly can say all three shots felt no different weather the pack was stuffed or in day mode. Practice at home by working out with pack on and shoot bow at intervals while your heart rate is up.
Nomad as a day pack poses no problems positioning, drawing, aiming, shooting. Practiced many times with it on a 3D course running and gunning prior to my elk hunt (no luck), and have worn it several times while spot&stalking hogs (much luck).
