Shooter App v2.0.0

However, I don’t see how it’s helpful. It means your solutions round to the nearest whole mil instead of tenth mil. Unless I’m doing it wrong?

This is a good point/caveat. If you have your output precision set to Nearest Dial, then you wouldn't want to set your graduation to anything other than your actual.

If you don't want clicks output, you should use Tenth for the output precision and leave your turret gradation = 1.

So right now, you have to choose between the two: hide clicks or get solutions rounded to dial.

So then:
  • “Output Precision” = Tenth
  • Gun’s “Turret Graduations” = 1
This will get rid of clicks but still show solutions rounded to nearest tenth mil.

Edit: big kudos to you @kndydevgrp for taking feedback and listening to us. Now takeaway some of the useless inputs for Field mode please, and that would be awesome!

🤔 Maybe next collab we need on the go is a Shooter, ZeroTech , S2H rangefinding binoculars.
Great to see a developer listening to real world input. 👍

To be truly helpful it should take what you input in the gun profile as your rounding. When you build a gun profile, you add your scope turret graduations and angular measurement type. If you added 1/4 MOA it should only give calls in 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.0, etc. Add 1/10 MIL and it should be 0.1, 0.2, 0.3... etc. Giving you the direct response based on your setup and actual turret graduation is the correct way to exhibit the solution.

Then I'm hoping it lets me put the scope in as 1/4moa elevation and 1/2moa windage because I'm not doing anything for wind with the turrets.

Edited - removed the unneeded part.

I love the lock/unlock mode, but I've found I've already accidentally changed the wind angle a few times because it defaults to unlocked after each calculation. Would be nice to either have it default to locked in field mode

Wow! This is excellent customer support!

Is there a place where you can set the minimum velocity that turns the text red on the Table? Seems like it would be under Ammo, but I don’t see it. Appears to be defaulting to 1100 fps in this example.

This would be an awesome addition! Definitely under the “Ammo” section, so it could be adjusted for each bullet. Quick easy reference when playing with speeds to see where you lose reliable expansion.

Thank you and to all of you for the years of support! I really appreciate your feedback.
Is there room in your world for permanent full value wind speeds relative to BC for every single gun?

For instance.

I have 6mph entered at 270 degrees for a 6 creed barrel with 115 Nosler RTD. I will never change it and do the rest of the calls in my head as per my Shoot2hunt training.

Then when I switch to my 223 trainer with 55gr Blitzkings the full value wind speed must be changed to 3mph or I may miss if I don't catch it.

I don’t want to hamper your question, but now you are getting into something so specific that almost everyone that uses his app won’t know what it is, and will probably not like the feature.

To all:

Be careful asking for one-off things that really only apply to you or a small group, or are some odd preference. You have the ear of the teacher, don’t badger him with “I want”, “what about”, etc.

What some are asking for may be good ideas, but they are relatively niche, and the masses won’t understand them for an app that is geared to the population at large.

I was thinking about the The Goose That Lays The Golden Eggs before I even asked.

Called out and backing off...

Thanks for everything, @kndydevgrp

Mine is still showing version 1.8.13 on the Google play store. Will this update be sent out to android devices as well?
