No kidding! I went on a solo ewe bighorn hunt. I was thinking 50lbs for the pack out. I was off a touch, she was a fatty! It amazes me how much bigger wild sheep are than what I've always thought.

I've enjoy looking at all of these mounts, so I figured I better add a photo of one of mine as well. Wildlife Revolutions in Reno, NV, did this '18 ram for me. I couldn't be happier. View attachment 335442
That is an old cranker of a ram mounted beautifully. Damn…I've enjoy looking at all of these mounts, so I figured I better add a photo of one of mine as well. Wildlife Revolutions in Reno, NV, did this '18 ram for me. I couldn't be happier. View attachment 335442
Wow absolutely beautiful mount, how much did it set you back, AND how long did it take, if you don’t mindProbably only going to have the chance to hunt bighorns once in my life, so decided to get the taxidermy done right. Dewey Wildlife in Cody WY. Horns on mount are a reproduction made by Jenny at Wyo Backcountry Decor also of Cody WY.
In my eyes both companies did an outstanding job with my animal, and their customer service was top notch!

Not the biggest ram you will see here, but their work really brings him to life. Most importantly I relive the hunt everytime I step into the room. What an adventure!
As stated above, which ever way you go, get the real skull done in European. It is so cool to hold it in your hands.
How did that pickup conversation go? I think the same guy did a pair of snow geese for me...View attachment 334044

Wow those are some incredible animals, congrats.
This looks really similar to the carving that is the background of Nick Muche's post #47, same artist maybe?Instead of getting my first ram mounted, I had a horn carved by Tom Cooper down on the Kenai.
Cost me $700 in 1995....
