Hey all. Has anyone here had the chance to own the old krux frame and the newer X curve frame? Is it worth the $365 to upgrade? I find the Krux fairly comfortable but I’m wondering if the Krux is really that much better. What do you think?

I have both and thinking of selling the x-curve because I have a shorter torso and the curves bring the tops of the stays too close to my head. I also thought about putting Kifaru aluminum stays in the curve.

I have had both, and still own the original Krux and the new Krux EVO. After a couple seasons I ended up trading my Xcurve for the EVO. The flatter Krux frame just seems to fit my back better, although I do like the newer belts that are on the newer frames.

How much are you selling for? Do you notice any more stability with the x curve over the Krux?

Why not just buy the stays? I was told that the frame sheets are the same when I bought mine. Heck I even ordered the Krux stays to try....but I never did.

It's just going to come down to the shape of your back and how the pack fits you. For me the flatter frame does not work and slides down, so I've owned a Krux two separate times because I thought I missed something the first time and now with the X Curve it sits right where it is supposed to without messing around and doesn't slide down at all. I do really like the newer belt with the two tension straps top and bottom versus the older with one 2 inch strap down the center.

Doverpack12 above has hit the nail on the head. Comes down to the curvature of your back, I had the Krux, it kept sliding down and I had to continuously tighten the belt and "shrug" it up. Called SG and they swapped out the Krux for the XCurve. Way better fit for my back, SG has incredible customer service.
