Sevr Hybrid 1.5 vs 1.75 for Elk

Killed 1 elk with the 1.5 sevr. Worked great. Switched to fixed, iron wills I love them, they fly true out to about 40-47 yards then things get tricky, I personally roll around with 2/3 iron wills and 2/3 sevrs in my quiver. If I’m in timber iron will knocked if it’s a wide open meadow or more open sevr knocked, the sevrs just group to my field points like all the dang mechs do so well. Shot placement is still king. I own both 1.5 and 1.75 sevrs, sure either would work fine, just put it where it counts.

Took a couple deer with the 1.5 Hybrids and both only went 25 yards, so not much of a blood trail.
I’m taking the 1.75 Hybrids to Tennessee next weekend to see how they do on wild boars. Then on to Saskatchewan for bear. After all that, I’ll decide which one to take to Idaho in September.
The design is the same as the Ulmer Edge and the Sevr is what Randy Ulmer has been using.

The 1.5 sevr was awesome for me on 4 elk and 4 bucks. Flew great, pass thru's and good to great blood trails if needed. I would use them or try the larger ones also. These were the non hybrid versions.

Good morning everyone.

Curious if anyone has any insight on how these two broad heads compare specifically for elk. I purchased 5 of the 1.75 hybrids and then read the 1.5’s are better for elk. I will be sharpening them from factory which should significantly increase the blade’s sharpness if that matters.

Also for reference here’s my setup. Curious if having the extra umph behind the arrow compared to others I’ve seen will help with penetration.

I shoot the sevr but don’t like them for elk
