Looking to get a bit of info on the process of selling used suppressors in 2026. Is it worth it, or will transfer fees from the dealers eat all the value?

I’m looking to offload an otter creek OCM5 with an OTB 1/2/28 flash hider mount. Knew the combo would run about 950. I imagine getting 700 or so for the combo wouldn’t be impossible.

I’ve also got a DD Enticer STi with a 30 cap end cap, 22 cal end cap, salmon river brake (no longer have shims), and a 5/8-24 and 1/2-28 direct mount. I’m not sure I need to let this one go, but I’ve considered it to get a US OG-30 next month.

For an in state transfer, do they just have to fill out a form 4 and then private sale it once it’s approved like a rifle? Or does the ATF have to be notified of the sale, still go through an FFL, ext.

I have zero idea how an out of state sale would go.

Just looking to gather some information before I proceed so I don’t totally **** something up lol.

With suppressor tech moving as fast as it is currently, many used models are selling for pennies on the dollar. Lots of info in this thread

Thanks!

Private sales of suppressors are super easy now, before the change-over you used to have to do them on paper as they didn't have the option before, they updated that so basically if it's going from me to a trust or my trust to an individual or any combo, it is quite easy. I have offloaded all my unwanted cans for solid prices at this point quite easily, so absolutely worth it!

It honestly so much easier now, although with the tech in suppressors moving so quickly people may just want to buy new altogether.
