Seekins PH3

Doesn’t make a dang to me but might want to research measuring groups if that’s your thing. I’m in love with my Seekins by the way.
I’m not that interested in the actual measurements. Just looking for what groups the tightest, and can get me on paper / in vitals most consistently. Looking at it after the fact, it’s about a 1/2 or 3/4 inch group at 100 yards. But it was 1/2 the size of any of the others, and it’s definitely minute-of-elk. So I’m good with it.

I stand by my use of best 3 from a 4-shot group at this point: Initial sight-in, and determining which (factory) ammo has the greatest potential for optimal grouping.
I checked again, and re-measured my group.
These were not the greatest targets for nice clean holes.
Consensus looks like: Farthest outer distance between 2: 0.695", less a bullet diameter: 0.264" = .431 at 100 yards. Still under 1/2 MOA:2026-01-31 Revised PH3 6-5PRC Group 130 CuT 3.jpg2026-01-31 Revised PH3 6-5PRC Group 130 CuT 2.jpg2026-01-31 Revised PH3 6-5PRC Group 130 CuT 1.jpg

Significantly better than the 1/2"+ group I got at 25 yards with Hornady's ELD-M's. Which was, frankly, better than anything I've used before for sighting in my other rifles:

Love my PH3 but the magazine sucks. Apex Predator makes an aftermarket magazine, has great reviews and cheaper than the OEM.
Apex Predator SA MAG magazine arrived. Seems a quality piece. Price is good. In initial use, it does seem to be a tad bit easier to slide into place in the mag well. But it has no spring or follower. I can't see stripping a $94 factory mag in order to populate the $60 aftermarket unit. A bit disappointed. I have reached out to AP to see if it was an oversight, or if they have a source for a spring and follower.

Seems to be a training, and QA, issue. They’re making it right.
