Would love to know of you have the recoil lug fitment issue somebody else reported earlier in the thread.
That was me who reported that.

What’s the trick to getting the 3 rd mdt to release easier. I had to pull the bolt back and push down from the inside to get it started.

Could u take a pic of how the rear action tang sits in the seekins chassis ? I'm wondering if it's captured or just rests on top like the hnt26.Springfield Waypoint 2020 actions with BSF barrels. One short 6.5CM, one long 7mm Rem Mag
@hoooogan do you recall what selection of Seekins model you made to order the backstop pad?
Also you think it manages recoil any better? I shot my 7wsm on the chassis finally this week and at 9lbs it could use some recoil mitigation.
It won't without some modifications. I just dropped a Proof Sendero Light barrel in mine and it fits perfectly though.Hi Does anyone know if the chasis will fit a proof research sendero barrel? And if so, any quirks to it? Thanks so much.

How much material did you have to sand out to make it fit? And what is the diameter of your barrel? For those with OMR or other larger contour barrels, opening up the channel is pretty easy. Patience and some sweat equity.
7/8” through 1 1/4” deep sockets for concentricity & to match barrel contour/open up edges.
40, 60, 80, 100 grit sandpaper, 40 is the heavy material mover, progress to finer grit to finish.
Periodically check clearance.
OMR barrel floated and lost an ounce of weight.
So that looks awesome. But just another thought with this chassis setup.Just ordered mine hopefully this arca works at 2.4 once

Just need to open the channel a tad on that side.Ok fellas, what am I doing wrong here? Or is this a wonky chassis? R700 SA chassis with Origin action. Basically making contact on one side. Tried reinstalling multiple times, same result.

Seems like a minor amount off for all that.Right, but I feel like the fitment should be a bit better than this. I'd rather not start grinding away at it. May return it and try again on another one.
Regarding the cheek piece, do find its rough on the face (especially if you have any stubble). I couldn’t stand the feeling so I put some 1/8” close Cell foam padding on it that I got off Amazon. Cushions recoil to the face but most importantly it does not irritate my baby faceShot the chassis yesterday. No regrets, especially for the price point on a nice folding chassis. Thing is solid. Coming from a Grayboe Trekker, it feels like an upgraded version with a better grip. Recoil pad is pretty good too. It ate up 100 rounds of 6.5CM. The cheek riser on the other hand, is not friendly for 100 rounds. With my experience shooting the Grayboe, I'm not gonna do a bag rider. I managed just fine with multiple sub MOA groups at 200y. I'm happy with that.
I think I know why… I have the Element Hunter in 6.5PRC. I have had many failure to feeds due to the feed ramp getting cockeyed. They sent me another and it is not experiencing this issue. I cannot find a difference in the two mags???I wouldn’t count on a CF mag. I’ve talked to several people at Seekins and they don’t even like their CF R700 mags. One employee implied they’d be moving away from them all together moving forward.

Yea, it’s not great. Mine fed flawlessly in my Gen 1 Element. It’s rough in the M3 and that’s with Seekins cleaning up the feed ramp and sending me a second mag they “tuned” to the gun. Both feed a bit rough no matter what.I think I know why… I have the Element Hunter in 6.5PRC. I have had many failure to feeds due to the feed ramp getting cockeyed.
