Has anyone run this set up with two people? I'm imagining it being doable but super cozy - which I'm fine with. Usually its going to be just me in this set up but wondering if its even possible with 2.

Both people would have to sleep on the opposite side of the pole than the stove putting one person up against the side of the tarp. There are tieouts midway up that will help make more room, but definitely tight. The person in the back would need to crawl over the other to get out. I don't think there would be enough room to sleep the other way without potentially the foot of the sleeping bag coming in contact with the stove. Certainly no room for much gear.

I'd say no. I just spent a night in one with my buddy going light for a night there was enough room to get us and gear inside (not room to spread out but room to fit it in for a light shelter) and it would be hard to keep sleeping bags away from the stove with 2 in there.

That said I like the shelter as its light and big enough for when you don't want a BIG shelter. I view the base + vestibule as solo, solo + stove, or 2 folks with snug gear but workable. However I think with a 5' tarp added in (I'm going to add a custom one to mine) it'll be able to turn into a spacious (but low) shelter for 2 that would easily fit gear and stove.

It's doable. Lengthwise on either side of pole, each has a door, stove in center of vestibule.

BUT, you'll probably be folding sleeping gear back and sitting on it while running the stove, then letting it cool before going to sleep.

The Base Tarp Vestibule is a good setup for two with a stove.

I have posted this video on every lbo post to show the size... But here it is again. Hopefully it helps...
No need to make a 5' section they sell the connecting tarp at a good price

Half way through I cut it down to just base and vest.....there would be no way to do 2 and stove comfortably.

You may already be aware, but they have a Base + Tarp + Vestibule OR Base + Tarp + Base option.

I think he is saying he wants a little more room without having the full length tarp section that SO sells. Good idea to me. Make a custom length tarp to whatever length suits your need without being limited to just one option.

Thanks a lot for the replies, pretty much confirmed what I suspected. pods, are you doing your own 5' connecting tarp? Like Sneaky mentioned, I want to increase the living space for 2+stove without going as large as the SO connecting tarp.

A second base instead of the vestibule might be a solution as well. It would give you just enough extra room to have the stove along with some gear. I have a base-tarp-base setup. I used to have a vestibule as well, but just never used it after I got the second base as you can pair up the two bases together.

To clarify to those responding to me, yes Seek sells a tarp however even with the redesigned version they do not cover the zipper on the vestibule end thus I will be going the custom route to address that. On one end of the tarp I want a beak of material over the zipper similar to what the base portion has.

Just make sure your flap isn't as easy to get caught in the zipper as the one on the base is. My biggest gripe so far. Other than that it's a great little shelter. You can also put in another hypalon patch for center support of the tarp.
