See elk while antelope hunting?

I'm having my first trip to Wyoming for antelope and was scanning the list of leftover tags. I noticed some nearby areas that have leftover elk tags and I was wondering if it is common to see elk in areas where antelope are. I'm not sure if it's worth picking up a leftover elk tag or not. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

One has to ask himself why there are leftover tags? Could be hard public access. Not knowing where the unit is if I had to guess I would say if the unit is mostly antelope country then its probably late winter range for the elk so seeing elk would probably be weather dependent.

Same thing happened for me when I had a unit 90-1 tag.

After a few phone calls the response was that they are in the are until the first shots are fired, then they retreat to the wilderness. We saw 0 elk on our trip.

I wondered about them being leftovers. It will be in a limited access area, and it's a cow tag (not sure of their popularity vs Bull elk). I figured it was a combo of those factors.
