Hey guys I am looking for a Ballistic Rangefinder for hunting and PRS. I assume one with storable profiles and applied ballistics would be the best bet. I will use with multiple guns and calibers. What do you recommend? I already have a great set of Binos but if the best one is in a binocular then that works.

Gunwerks G7 BD2500, Sig Sauer kilo3000, Sig kilo2400ABS, Leica 2800.com Plus kestrel, other?

I want something that puts out accurate readings quickly without having to fumble around with changing settings and buttons. I have changed my mind 100x on which range finder to get and figured this was a great place to get answers.

I use sig ABS2400 and have used leica with a custom ballistic curve on a SD.

For hunting I’d avoid anything that needs to be synced to another device to give you a quick solution. My kestrel burns through batteries in a hurry.

Leica single ballistic curve on a microSD is a pain in the ass if you want to run multiple rifles or ammo.

I picked up the Sig Kilo2400 BDX this year and used it on several hunts as well as the range and have been very happy. It is similar to the Kilo2400 ABS but uses a light version of Applied Ballistics good out to 800 yards. I also have a Kestrel 5700 Elite that it will pair with for longer shots and wind/environmentals. If I need a quick solution, I use it without pairing with the kestrel. When I have more time, I'll pair it with the kestrel and it works great. If you have or want to get a Kestrel, I would recommend this over the 2400 ABS. If you don't have a Kestrel, you might consider the 2400 ABS.

I have been getting very solid hits with the BDX out to 1800 on trees and rocks with reflective surfaces giving me hits at over 3000 yards. I considered the Kilo 3000 when I got mine but have nice Swaro binos and didn't want to give up the Swaro glass for the binos.

I don't have any experience with the G7 or Leica.

Thanks for the info.... everyone that owns a Sig likes it. Same goes for Leica and G7 owners. For hunting the G7 and Sig2400ABS are the obvious choice for quick ballistics without having to use multiple items.

Well I ended up buying the Gunwerks. Look forward to seeing how it compares with the Sig. I’m sure I would have been happy either way.
