Go get it green scored by an OM.

Won’t cost anything - then get it officially scored again after the drying time.

You’ll learn a thing or two watching the scoring process
I wish I could! I flew back to NJ as it was being taken to taxidermist

270" is my guess. Use this and measure it yourself, you should be able to get decently close....https://www.boone-crockett.org/scorechart/add/american_elk

Congrats on a great bull, I'll go with 270-275. Probably under estimating, but I seem to guess too high usually :).

Congrats on a GREAT first bull - I am guessing he is in the 275-280 range, but don't let any score dampen what you accomplished.

First thought in my head was 270-275. Decent mass. lacking a bit of tine length.

That said it is a great bull and congrats on your trophy!
This was my guess... maybe 260-280.

For reference this guy measured 259.5. Doesn't matter though, great bull!

Congrats! That’s a heck of a first bull. I have a few identical to that on the wall, so my guess is 275-280. It takes a lot more than some guys think to hit 300.
I certainly don't know how to score them on the hoof accurately, but my first guess was 280. And yes, it takes a lot to get to 300, much more than most people think.
