Scope Zero Check Thread

This was honestly cool to see. Even though it’s more of a fluke than anything haha.

This 6.5-7 of mine has been uncased in the truck for over 3000 miles, been strapped to my pack TIGHT for dozens of miles and has killed 4 animals in 3 states since I last checked it. I haven’t shot it at paper since early September.

This was the first shot out of it at 100 yards this morning. I planned to shoot a group, but had to walk down and take this picture after the first shot lol.

seems slightly off, should recheck you torque specs and ammo or hell, buy a whole new setup because this is trash!

Look out, you will get chased all over the internet because your zero is not statistically significant 😂

Another 2,000 miles in the truck, 200 miles in the side by side and 1 animal for the 6.5-7 PRC.

Only shot it at 860 yards when I got home before the next hunt, didn’t actually check 100 yard zero. But it’s still hammering.

Removed my scope and rings to reinstall with higher torque. Checked zero with last 10 rounds from this case/lot and was off.
Didn’t bother to adjust, heading back out tomorrow with a new case of ammo so I’ll re-zero off that lot…

I've been doing zero checks on my truck gun these past few months. Results have been great and I've learned that I can not trust a group from one day of shooting -some days I suck more than others! The good news is that my system survived several thousand miles of limerock roads, four airline flights, and my cousin using it to test the hardness of a granite boulder. I've been regularly dialing to 400 and back in the middle of all this.
