Was this the 7 PRC, or another one? Factory barrel never removed?
The 22CM on the Master Sporter. Sent to the ID gunsmith often recommended around here. Not sure if he pulled the rail to rebarrel, if someone previously monkeyed w it, or if came loose from factory.

Guaranteed they removed the rail for the barrel, and I’m almost positive the Master Sporter didn’t come with a pic rail.

Perhaps good info....but it will be biased because few, if any will post any failures of Tikka, SWFA or Trig or NF because they don't want to be beat up by the RS gang. Let's be real. However, I hope I'm wrong. Just the hashtags by the admin's initial post says enough. Tells me where his head is.

Just to be clear, I did purchase 2 NF scopes based on Form's data. I do understand Tikka rifles good point's as noted but can't warm up to them and won't spend more money on them to make them into something better.

I do want to engage in this as I think it is helpful to everyone.
It must be exhausting to live with these conspiracy theories.

There are Tikka failures, I have been dealing with one for the last 9 months and it has cost me a lot of money and time because I believed it would work eventually

Heavy barrel 223
Always had a really rough bolt lift, I figured use would smooth it up, but it didn’t so I disassembled the bolt IMG_4076.jpeg
The pin was badly bent and showed considerable wear on the side opposite the bend
Rang beretta explaining the problem, sent pictures etc and asked them to send me a new pin
They wouldn’t and said I had to send the whole gun in
Got it back exactly 2 months later with a new pin
The biggest issue to me is that it just doesn’t shoot very well, nothing ridiculously bad, but it shoots nowhere as well as most of my other guns

Does it seem that be in line with what other's regular lite Tikka 223s are showing on rokslide?

Not really a like for like comparison
This gun was bought to shoot hunter category FClass
It is set up with an 8-32 NSX, bedded, trigger worked and proper target style load development with high quality match projectiles, match dies etc
My 1980s Remington sporter is more consistently accurate and less finicky

R700 rifle from my first post. Swapped suppressors, no other changes.

Still .1 to .2 mil low-

Adjusted up 1 click (1 MOA), three shots labeled #1. Those went .2’ish mil high. The bottom three shots labeled #2 are back at original setting.

#2 Maven RS1.2 passed 3,000 rounds. Last zero check-

The MRC rifle got its 308 factory barrel out back on and zeroed with the Gen 2 SWFA 3-15x eval scope-

Sorry I don’t have a target to show (I’ll get one up the next time I go out shooting), but I was coyote hunting yesterday and my gun got blown over as I was getting set up. Took a pic as it layed on the the frozen ground. Impact in the windage turret.

Had a coyote at 328 yards on the next stand and it was dead on.

Prior to this, I sighted it in October 2024 and have approximately 4,000 miles of it riding on the floorboard of my Tacoma, and getting packed around coyote hunting.

Nightforce NX8 4x32 in nightforce ultralight rings. Seekins PH2 torqued to spec. No loctite on any of the screws to include the action.

Swfa 3-9 in UM rings on a 6.5cm t3x. Just checking after I pulled off and adjusted the turrets for some new ammo.

Will get out a bit over next few months and update at the end of it
