Tikka in 6UM. Bartlein barrel, Manners EHT modified with Rokstok type geometry and bedded. Scope is a SWFA 5-20 HD in UM rings with front and rear pins. The gun previously experienced .2 mil shifts on 36" drops that were traced back to action screws that came loose after blue Loctite didn't set. No shifts since fixing that a little over a year ago. Four hunts, a couple weeks of backpacking, and one really hard drop off the pack when I accidentally yanked the release strap when loading up a deer and camp. Only a three shot group to limit how much barrel life is donated to zero checks, but no shift.

Perhaps good info....but it will be biased because few, if any will post any failures of Tikka, SWFA or Trig or NF because they don't want to be beat up by the RS gang. Let's be real. However, I hope I'm wrong. Just the hashtags by the admin's initial post says enough. Tells me where his head is.

Just to be clear, I did purchase 2 NF scopes based on Form's data. I do understand Tikka rifles good point's as noted but can't warm up to them and won't spend more money on them to make them into something better.

I do want to engage in this as I think it is helpful to everyone.

I posted a failure, approx 2” left shift Tikka/Maven/Rokstok. I’d put money it’s something in my system assembly I missed. Had another I didn’t post, found the factory rail had come loose.

I read that twice and still don’t understand what you are trying to say

He’s saying this forum is full of Tikka/SWFA owners that have consistent failures but will never admit it, because they’re just brand loyalists, not because those items tend to just work well with minimal failures.
That’s kind’ve his whole thing…

Rifle: Tikka 243 22" d18 fluted ss factory barrel hand throated longer, scythe can, factory stock and vertical grip, maven rs1.2 scope with bent elevation turret.

Load: 108 eldm in starline brass, h4350, 2985fps. I loaded these rounds in September, and went and checked with my seater die to see if there was any bullet weld, and sure enough they popped when I tighten the die down by a couple thousandths.

Top left Target is zero Check just prior to a hunt in early October. The zero hadn't been touched in a few hundred miles of riding around in the truck Plus probably 50 mi of rough Forest service roads. Then shot the top left Target the day of hiking out. I then did a week-long backpack hunt with it, shot a bull at 460 yd, and then had n't done any shooting after the hunt until this zero check. There was some more Forest service road driving on the way back from the hunt.

Bottom left Target is the zero check I did recently. The first four shots are off for sure, but I think it was likely just my shooting due to not being able to shoot consistently well using the pinch the buttstock with my left hand method. I shot the remainder holding the foreend like I had been doing earlier this year and didn't do any adjustment on the scope.

So, either there is something wonky going on with my scope and a few shots knocked it loose and sent it back to zero, or my shooting just sucks after I've taken a break from practicing.

Bottom right target is a 6.5 cm Tikka with an swfa ultralight in lightweight tally rings. Factory stock. Scythe suppressor. The load is 140 match burners in starline SRP brass with h4350. Velocity is about 2500. I can't remember for sure, but I think I torqued those rings to nearly 25 in pounds. The scope seems to adjust correctly, it has been under the same conditions as my other rifle as far as riding in the vehicle, although I did not backpack with it. It shot exactly to the point I had it zeroed at before.. The few shots that are slightly low are just me because I was ripping them off as fast as I could only pausing to switch out mags.

I don't really remember what the top right target is. It's from quite a while ago.
