I suffered a sling failure and caused my Bergara Ridge to fall off my shoulder and land directly on a rock, Now the zero is off over a foot .. Is the scope trashed ? It landed on the side focus knob. I got it sighted back in but Im debating how much I trust it now. Rings look fine nothing moved crosshair is still level... Vortex Viper 4-16 x 50 HSLR

Sounds like now might be a good time to exercise that Vortex lifetime warranty program!🤔

Agreed. Send it for warranty. I’ve sent my binos in that I dropped out of a tree and they were easy to deal with. To me, it’s not worth the worry to keep it on the rifle without getting inspected. Especially for free.

Having it inspected is a good idea. If not, make sure you give it a good test at the range multiple times. I would like to think the scope is robust enough to take some abuse, but loss of confidence in your equipment can have lingering effects.

Send it in and tell them exactly what happened along with subsequent events. When you get it back perform several scope tracking tests to ensure confidence in new scope or repaired scope.
