Howdy, Just as the title says I am looking for a place that repairs rifles scopes. If you have used a company to do it OR have a friend that's had it done please post up who they are and what you or your friend thought of the work they did along with turn around time.

The scope I have has a Lifetime Warranty. BUT (this all I am going to say) they no longer make this scope and do not have a place in the states that can fix it. And the scopes they have do not fit what I need or want. They also will not refund the scopes purchase price But will only give me store credit for the products they have now, of which I do not want. So I will not be able to use the warranty.

Thanks for any help.

David

for new reticles I have used premier and tk lee. premier is no longer in that business. Michael at tk lee is having health issues and is unreliable.

Cheryl at optical services put a reticle in for me last year. however they don't repair. they may know who does.
there used to be a repair place in the southeast but I never used it.

I found this number in my file - it is very old and I never used them. rifle scope service in tulsa, ok.

That would be Iron Sight INC out of Tulsa OK. What do you know about them? I was thinking about calling them in the AM. Thanks for the info.

Will they not send it overseas for warranty work?

No,.I asked but hey will not. They do say in the warranty papers that they will repair or replace the scope depending on how bad it is. But when I asked about getting it fixed they said no can do Because their factory is over sea's.

Which brand is this?

I don't know anyone that has used them. I picked their card up at the gun show.

when premier quit I heard of another repair facility but did not save the number.
keep asking. you may get a hit.

the biggest problem with the repair is getting the scope apart. many [ if not most ] are glued and the glue does not release easily. the weaver I had Cheryl do last year was a new scope and she told me that if it did not come unglued easily she would send it back, untouched.

I had a one done by tk lee and Michael gave me the same story. we reached a deal on that one when I told him I got it in a trade and had almost nothing in it. I told him to try real hard and if it broke just send it back and I would eat it and not blame him. I won that round, as he did not break it.
luck-ray

First I'll say that I can relate to the broken scope issue. I purchased a new Burris scope, and had to send it in twice in less than two years for repair. That confirmed my opinion that I would never buy another Burris scope.
In regards to your scope, I hope that you can get it repaired and at a reasonable cost. I am curious why you are being so protective of the store that you purchased it from. It would seem to me that you would be providing your fellow Roksliders a service by sharing what happened and what issues you are having in the warranty claim process. Might prevent one of us from having the same issues.

That sounds like no fun. Sounds like you got a lemon. Or just had bad luck.

So far the prices I am seeing are from 100 to 200 bucks depending on whats wrong with it. I think something just came loose.

I am not trying to "protect" the store so to speak. Just do not feel the need to mention them. I shared all the info in the first post. They no longer make the scope so they cant trade it out. They say they do not a place that can fix it. But were going to refund me the money I paid for the scope. But were going to do it buy store credit towards their line of optics. Of which to get the model that matched mine but was FFP instead of SFP i would have had to come up with another 300.00 to do it. I do not want a FFP scope. And I will not pay 300.00 for something I do not want.

All I can say with it all. I wish they would just refund my Money for the scope.

I feel the need to say who they are is not there since they offered what they did.. Maybe I m wrong?
