Summer of 2023 was the last time I dealt with them, they fixed the erector on a vx-3 from my wifes rifle. I get lost in the different iterations of the “same” scope, but it was a 2.5-8 I purchased new around 2015, not the current version. they fixed that rather than replace it. My impression is that the entire vx series is 99% the same, with only minor differences to coatings, and if the parts needed to fix it are interchangeable with current models, and time required costs less than it costs them to make a new one, they’ll likely fix it. Turnaround was quick and they were easy to deal with, but I suspect they cannot tell you over the phone whether your scope would get replaced vs repaired to deal with a problem before they look at it. If I recall they ask you to specify your preference and allow you to make a decision after they look at it, although that may slow things down.
