You won’t beat the optical quality of swaro under $2k, just get the one you mentioned and be gentle with it.

The SHV 3-10 is a good tough little scope but the glass isn’t near as good as swaro, but trade off is you don’t have to baby it

Not the type of scope the OP asked for. I have 4 RS1.2 mil and think they are hard to beat, but I dial, sounds like the op not so much.
