What is everyone experience with Schnees boots? Good, bad, ugly…

Looking at the Granite or Granite Pro

Love mine. But a lot of it comes down to foot shape and personal preference.

My current pair of boots just finished their 5th hunting season (Beartooth II 400g)...last year I popped out the top shoe lace hook after getting it caught on a rock. I stopped by their store this summer, they took the boot, fixed it for free and shipped it back to my house in a few weeks. The boot was already 4+ years old with 1000+ miles on it.

I have the previous version of the Beartooth. They're every bit as good as my Crispi guides.

Definitely understand the personal preference part. Schnees may not fit my foot but willing to give them and try and hear what people have to say about them.

My current boot put some pressure on my Achilles and willing to try a few different boots to see if I can resolve that issue.

Watching. I'm interested in the Granite. My Lowa Tibet hi's are just about done and the Schnee Granite is one of the few 10" boots around

Good boots, very similar to the Lowa Tibet. I use the Beartooth most of the year. Former Lowa guy and I found the fit very similar. The only reason I switched was to see if the grass was greener. It wasn't, but they're just as good IMO.

I have 4 pairs. Waiting patiently on the Beartooth Mids to go on sale so replace my worn out pair.

I have a pair of Timberlines with a few seasons of use and quite a bit of off-season hiking. I got a pair of Granites this year and wore them on a second season CO hunt. Been very happy with both. Boot fit is obviously very subjective, but they have fit my feet well. I did purchase wides in the Granites to get a little more wiggle room for my toes. I measure sort of right on the edge of needing wides anyway, so that hasn't been an issue. I did find one spot near the top of the Granites with a minor mis-stitch, but I didn't think it was bad enough to cause problems, and I'm somewhere around 70 miles on the boots and it has not gotten worse. I haven't tried any other brand of mountain boots, so I can't compare them to anything else. I'll say the Granite is quite a bit more stiff than the Timberlines (as expected), but they will still flex under load. I've had no issues with waterproof failure, but I am also very good about caring for the leather. If they fit your feet good, I think they make good boots.

Between my boys and I we have 8 pairs and all are awesome. 4 Beartooth, 1 Granite, 1 hiking, and 2 pac boots make up our stable. I don't keep track of miles, but it is a lot and quite a bit is hard use. I have no desire to switch to any other brand.

Got over 400 miles on my timberlines in the last 4 yrs...no leaks...thinking about sending them for a rebuild.

My Schnees Beartooth mid are old with way too many miles and are still the one pair of boots I can count on to be waterproof.

Schnees took care of me as a customer and they certainly didn’t have to.

I’ve got a few hundred miles on my granites in the last year and a half. I think they are a high quality boot for sure but they don’t fit my foot as well as other brands I’ve tried

I have two pairs of beartooths i rotate in the early season and a pair of granites I wear in the later season. They've been a great boots for me.

I’ll jump in too as I love their boots. I’ve had or tried Timberlines, Beartooths, and Granites. I also have their new Torre Uktralight.

The Granite is a a great and really stout boot. I haven’t read all of the responses here, but I wouldn’t choose it if the weather wasn’t going to have significant precip. It’s a lot of boot to move around if you’re expecting to cover miles.

You might check out the Timberline or Torre UL if you’re expecting that style of hunting.

With that said, I wore them on a pretty physical sheep hunt that covered a lot of miles without any issue at all.

They have VERY good customer service and trial periods. Order what interested you and return what doesn’t work. Great company and great boot.

On my second pair of timberlines. Didn’t treat the leather consistently on the first pair and it cracked eventually, user error. If they ever discontinue them I’ll buy a dozen pairs to last me a lifetime.

Tried the beartooth and had some issues with them. Schnees replaced them with the v3 then ultimately my second pair of timberlines. 10/10 customer service. Buy with confidence.

Timberline you would say be the best overall to cover that wide range if you just went with one boot?
