In case anyone wants to see how a Leupold VX-5HD fits on a Tikka T3X with the Unknown Munitions Low 1.05” rings.

1. There is about a 1/8” gap between the front bell and the barrel. Plenty for me to rubber scope covers on and still not have contact with the barrel
2. I was able to use the recoil pins included with the UM rings and the scope rings ended up being perfectly positioned to place the scope into and have great eye relief/eye box distance from the eye piece to my eye (this will vary from person to person but worked great for me)

Pics looking through the scope are 3x and 15x zoom at around 400 yards.

You must have very understanding neighbors.
the way i see it is that window glass and 400+ yards of travel will do a better job stopping a bullet than some drywall and 10 yards of travel in a more typical home where most people tinker with their guns. not ideal sure but also not any less safe than messing with your gun in an apartment.

Was the gun loaded?

ngl kind of messed up for even asking something like that. the scope was not mounted on the rifle when the those images were taken
Fair enough.

Just thought it was odd that you mentioned distance and glass stopping a bullet.

I do like the stock.

also a good point! i shouldn't have responded in a way that could have implied that the scope was mounted and gun was loaded, my bad.

and thanks!
