This is more FYI based on my recent experiences... All warranty repairs, turret changes, etc. now have to go to Germany. Given paperwork, etc. this means months. Their stateside tech (Jerry R.) is no longer with the company and hasn't been for about 9 months. I fear that they aren't interested in replacing him.

I'll spare all the details but I had windage and elevation turrets replaced on a Meta that took about 3 months earlier this year. Windage and elevation failed this past weekend and now I'm looking at likely another 3 months. Very unfortunate.

Historically, I have really liked S&B and own several of their scopes, but this experience is making me question my future purchases if they aren't going to have a tech in the US.

I sent a Klassik 6x42 back to have the BDC dial earlier this year and they did in fact send it to Germany for the repair. First time they’ve done that. They sent the scope back in a new box with a rubber bikini cover, that was a nice addition.

Sent in a Polar for new turrets and parallax adjustment, went to Germany took 6 weeks. Seems odd that both turrets would have an issue.

Over the summer I got a BDC turret installed on a 3-12 Klassik, was sent to the Virginia office who then sent it on to Germany. Took less than a month to get it back in my hands. Had to send it back a week or two later to get the parallax looked at, and got it back in less than 6 weeks on the second shot.

That said, while the first round was as smooth as could be, the second round was some pretty serious BS on the communications front - was ghosted for 3 weeks by both the Virginia office, and the sales rep and customer service rep in Germany, in asking for confirmation of receipt and an update (they'd been great about comms on the first round), but it was total silence. Then, suddenly it was at my door. Six weeks is good turnaround, but the customer service was night-and-day between the first round and second round, and they were within a month of each other.
