WTB Scammer Alert

This guy just tried to scam me for a muzzleloader. luckily venmo flagged it. I posted a WTB for a CVA Accura MX-R.

He must be using a different account to troll Rokslide because he never messages on the app. his email came from [email protected].

The venmo account he tried to use was.

They're terrible about WTB ads. Seems thats their go to when it comes to hitting people. Id avoid posting any wtb ads and just wait for the item you're looking for to pop up

He is doubling down. Crazy. I also double checked Hunter Arms LLC with the state of Maryland and obviously it’s not registered.

“That’s not my email. Maybe someone trying to impersonate. I’ll never stoop so low to scamming pig. I hate scammers also, i would be willing to accept half payment first and other half when you receive abd inspect the CVA.”

@Ryan Avery is it possible to get a new tag for scammer alerts so we don’t have to use “WTB” or “WTS” for these type of posts? I’ve seen a couple of these posts lately.

Maybe like a red tag, that says “SCAM” or something? This would make it stand out.

Another subforum of the classifieds could be appropriate too and would be a helpful reference to keep track of know scammers/instances of scamming

First clue would have been a Maryland D.L., with a Missouri address!! Shouldn't have even gotten to the Venmo stage.

Oops, my bad, on closer look at the DL, it does look in a 'D' and not an 'O' in the address. Did you by chance video call him and verify with him holding the gun?

How did he contact you? If it wasn’t via a direct message or public post then the scammer isn’t a member here, your contact info is posted publicly here or another site and they connected the dots to contact you.

nevermind, I found and deleted your contact information from an ad back in 2022. That person is not a member here, no one for us to ban.

This guy IS a scammer. He got between me and Tanner on a deal, and that's the same email address that was used.
