WTS SCAMMER ALERT Marcia Hunter

Was scammed by Marcia Hunter, his previous account was Winter993. Seemed legit seeing as he sent over a pic of the scope with his ID and both of our rokslide usernames. He has since took my money, deleted his account and I have filed a claim with PayPal and my bank. F**K this guy.this guy. Here’s a pic of his license.

It's most likely photoshopped. Had it happen to me a few years ago. Ended up doing a reverse google image search and found the real owner of the firearm before I sent funds.

This is why I always do a video call. If they refuse to do it then I don’t buy it. I wish they would make it a rule that sellers had to do a FaceTime video.

The issue is they are stealing peoples accounts with great ratings and then selling under their names.

wow no idea how people even do that? There are tons of ...new friends....everywhere so scams are at a all time high. Plus everything seems to be increasingly more destroyed on every level so people are getting more desperate. Im even sketched out about selling items.

I got taken for $1300 with a video call. Phone was a burner guess I could have screenshot his face and given it to the authorities. I will never post WTB on here anymore that’s the people they looking for easy picking.

Always use PayPal Goods and Service, the 3% isnt much money oppose to being scammed. If they refuse even after you offer to pay the 3% then probably to good to be true

Yup, I got had. Scammers are getting really good, especially with all modern tech at their disposal. If I had analyzed the pic more I would have realized there’s a fake address on that ID and it’s most likely photoshopped into the pic, but I was hoping rokslide was a safer place. I’ll be opting for FaceTime calls, always paying through goods and services and always using a credit card in the future.

Accounts get hacked and seems to be happening more often. Leads you into a false sense thinking you’re dealing with a long time member. Unfortunately it’s probably Habib from Somalia

It's getting to the point with these scammers that I think it is better to buy items new from legitimate vendors and pay full price. At least you know your not getting scammed and you can return most items if you want.
Or maybe buyers should demand transaction be done through a third party escrow, like this https://www.escrow.com. This may flush out the scammers.
