OP @Brian

No one answered your question RE DWR.

Odds are high that it will hurt or impact your DWR. And if you DWR treat your clothes after spraying with Permethrin, then Permethrin's effectiveness will be reduced or eliminated.

This is due to the way the Permethrin is made available to insects that get on your clothes. I spoke with a company that markets Permethrin treated clothes to foresters and timber cruisers. They know their stuff.

Good point. I forgot to mention DWR was the reason I had some of my clothing professionally treated by Insect Shield...I was never satisfied with the results I got self-treating my DWR clothing.

Have used it, but way to expensive. I bought the permethrin 10.0 from the local Tractor supply store, like 15.00 for 32oz. I can make about 30 gal of spray by diluting with water. Spray om clothing, boots and turkey vest prior to Turkey hunting Missouri. Not a problem with ticks or chiggers.

Ticks are out here in CA as we are having an early spring.

I use the concentrate and mix my own though it would take me 100 years to use that whole quart of concentrate.

I use the heck out this stuff especially for turkey and bear hunting. Never noticed any effects on fabric. Very happy to not be covered in ticks.
