Brand new Sawyer filter below freezing

Do you think Sawyer tests their filters at the factory? My brand new one I bought on sale last fall, to replace the one I accidentally boiled, which replaced one before that I actually froze, spent the winter in my garage with periods below freezing. And this paranoia creeps into my head - did Sawyer test, leave it wet, the membrane froze, and is now compromised?

lol. I wouldn’t worry about that what if at all. There has to be a good amount of water in them to freezer and become useless.

I’m sure that brand new ones were never tested.

I’m sure you are good. If super paranoid - buy a backup. They are super lightweight (as you know)

And given your track record - sounds like you need an extra in the pack and the truck lol

Just bought one myself for “emergency H2O purposes”. Hope it works OR works when I need it.
