I ordered one through Cabelas. $350 off. I called to verify NIB or display.
I found out it is a display rifle. I have not seen it in-person.

I don't know why but it irritates me that it's not NIB.
Overreaction on my part?

Thanks

That's what a 30% savings.

I'd be okay with a few people fondling it.

That would be a good price for used and "lightly hunted".

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy that gun, like others said never fired and only handled buy customers!!

Yes, an overreaction on your part. If you want a NIB rifle, reach for your wallet and pay the extra $350.

maybe..

have you tried posting in the firearms section?

It will just be the same as buying a rifle from a small gun shop. Pick a gun off the rack, and they go find the box for it and pack it back up. No, you aren’t the first person to touch it but you’re the lucky bastard to takes her home.

On another note, if you’re talking about the savage 110 they build with a proof carbon barrel, I think that’s one of the best deals in a new rifle right now even full price, I’ve been thinking about picking one up myself eventually. I think you got a great deal. When you go to pick it up, if there’s anything about it you can’t live with they will give you a refund as long as it’s before they register it in your name

Great gun/cartridge/deal if I say so myself. My only regret was the camo version came out a year after I picked mine up!

I wouldn't say it's an overreaction, but most guns are handled by someone before we buy them.

I got a camo model that looks great, but I paid quite a lot more for mine.

As far as the Ultralight goes, I'm on the fence on what will be my next purchase if any. There are chassis models with the same barrel coming out and then there's the Howa Superlight short. Not a replacement to the Savage, but man, they are light.

Good Point. Plus I had a a fair amount of Cabela's points so I only paid a hair over $500.

This one only comes in black as far as what's available for this sale. I'm thinking of doing a sponge painting. LOL

Black sounds better than the grayish/blueish color of mine 🤣
I’ve scratched it up enough that I don’t care to paint it.
$500 is a steal!

Which Leupold are you running? I have been looking at the VX-6 HD 3-18x44 with TOA reticle.

I pick mine up on Monday. Gonna be for my wife since that stock is so adjustable. Still pondering which scope. Probably go with a NF.

Savage said it weighs 6 lbs. On the scale, it was 6 lbs 6 oz.

Im going to try another scale when I get it home. It was a digital scale at the shop. The owner wanted to weigh it, so I obliged. Probably be right at 8.5 pounds when it's ready to go.
