Savage 16 Stock help

I bought a Savage 16 LW Hunter for my boy. I would like to eventually ditch the factory stock and upgrade it. I know I can get a McMillan, but is there any other aftermarket stock out there that is similar to the factory design but better built?

For Savage Mcmillan and Manners will be the only options for keeping the weight down.

B&C medalist and Boyds are two that come to my mind... neither are light.

Stockade gunstocks. They do top end composite stocks for Savages.
