Satellite phone/beacon question

Going solo in Colorado during either 2nd/3rd season and my girlfriend was asking me to get me something in case I come up missing or need help. I live in Texas (I know, laugh and giggle ).

I don’t know what’s all the rage these days as far as sat phones, GPS beacons etc for hunting/location purposes.

What’s the cheapest/best option out there. I’m not concerned but want her to have peace of mind.

To be rescued, all you need is a PLB (Personal Locator Beacon)

To communicate with your significant other, or perhaps a packer, you would need an Inreach or sat phone.
