Sako Rebarrel ‘smith Suggestion

Looking to rebarrel a Sako 85.. does anyone have any suggestions for a smith?

Also, would like to put a front & rear sight fixed sight on it… any suggestions there?

Are you going to rebarrel with aftermarket or factory replacement? Tikka T3X Battue models come with a short 20” blued barrel with fantastic factory iron sights on them. Something worth considering.

I'd like to replace with an aftermarket steel barrel

If they are unable to put iron sights on the barrel, while unfortunate, won't be the end of the world.

No, but I had them do a Tikka. Just about anybody could do the barrel, but I know Chad has a ton of background in high-end rifles outside of the Cerakote vein and can do what you’re wanting correctly. I’m sure it’s not that hard, but most smiths don’t really have any experience installing irons any more. LRI should be able to get you squared away.
