I’ve got a sako a7 22-250 with the bell and Carlson stock currently. I want to restock it with an ag composites. They don’t offer an inlet for the a7. I’ve spoken with ag about purchasing a flat top stock, but I’d like to see if you all have some recommendations for a shop to do the inlet. Thanks

I think I’ve found a smith but wanted to try one more time with you guys.

I’ve gone down this rabbit hole before as an A7 owner. The best I could find was having LRI do the inlet or maybe buy a stock out of New Zealand. There is little aftermarket support for that rifle even though it’s great. It’s about half Tikka T3 parts and half Sako 75 parts.

Thanks, I really like my a7 just want a stiffer stock. I know it’s not worth putting into it but also know I’d probably just keep it after it’s done.

Word is Pure Precision will inlet for an A7, at least according to the A7 Facebook group I'm in. Sent them a message to check.

Thanks for the information, I’ll call her on Monday and see if they do a short action.

I need short action as well so hopefully so. Imagine it will be a decent bit lighter than the current Roughtech stock.

I just called pure precision and was able to order a stock for my Sako a7s.
I really appreciate you guys sharing this information, I didn’t know that they did an inlet for the a7.
I’ll report back on the fit of it once I receive it.

I assume you are moving from the Roughtech stock? Wondering what kind of weight savings will be acheived. Pure Precision advertises about 25 oz for their Altitude stock.

Yes, I currently have the roughtech. I plan to sell it after I receive the PP. I’ll weigh them both when I get it and report back.

Also, so that someone in the future researching knows this/can find this. The tikka prefit is the same as the sako A7 and they will thread and headspace correctly/interchangeably between the two actions.

I just found that out the other day. Unfortunately I'm stuck with short action non-magnum calibers since my rifle is currently a 308. Would love to go 6.5 PRC.

I called them, I don’t remember the gentleman’s name I spoke to, but he said they no longer do Sako inlets??

Thanks for the info! I was able to order a Pure Precision altitude for my A7s .308. 4-6 week turn around time. Let me know if anyone is in need of the factory rough tech in black/grey. Thanks
