Sako 100 - "Switch Caliber" Rifle

I saw this the other day and thought it was interesting. It looks like they applied takeaways from the S20 to a hunting rifle. I couldn't find anything on weight.

I've found I like having the butt pad raised so I'm not a big fan of the drop at the heel. I thought the switch caliber part seemed a little weird (why would I want more parts to tighten when I'm not changing barrels in the middle of a hunt?). Maybe it's trying to take some market share from Blaser.

Either way it's nice to see they are trying something different.

I like the idea of a switch barrel set up, but I'd prefer something like the WTO or Barrett system that lets you swap barrels while keeping the optics mounted.
