I have narrowed my search down to 2 platforms. I was wondering who has experience with either, possibly both? Not opposed to a different suggestion, if reasoning is applicable.

The tethered predator cfx

The trophyline hyperlite

Coming from a basic hawk platform that has served me quite well for a number of years. Just wanted to try something new.

Thanks for the input!

while I was waiting for my shop to heat up I made a simple list. I’m sure some of you have this on spread sheets.

I currently have the XOP Invader and I’m surprised to see it’s one of the lighter one. I honestly wish the platform was a little larger but that my only complaint. I see the XOP edge is on sale at XOP for $99.

Thanks for the reply. My buddy has one, I used it one day to try it, as I have some other xop items. Some companies do not include the rope/strap in the weight as is the case there, I didn’t like the edges as I think there are better options. I do not like how the trophyline ties off/secures. Otherwise I would’ve bought one by now. Do you have any gripes with the platform edges? Noise? Or safety?

I currently use the trophy line mission but if I swap it up or get a new one it will be the arsenal rzr mag 2.0. A co-worker has one and it’s legit. I’ve not hunted off one but it checks all the boxes and has a well planned out and executed design.

The arsenal products are intriguing. I don’t see a need for the width of mag2.0, but would consider the elite. Was hoping someone on here has one with great experiences.

The width for me is ideal. I wear a size 13 and prefer the width because I can turn around on it and lean against the tree like you would a hang on. It also eliminates a weak side shot. Can remove your leg straps and literally turn around in the saddle.

I have not tried that style yet. Depends on the boot I am also a 12-13. I wore out the paracord wrap I had in my edge on my cheap platform and 12” has been plenty as I’ve been known to stand on my sticks to make a setup work on this heavy pressure public here. Passed a 140s 10pt that setup. The other factor I have is using my k4s meat shelf to slide my platform between the bag and frame. I don’t want it sticking out too far.

You’re a tougher feller than me. All day on a stick. Thats a hard pass. I use the Kifaru maniml and my mission platform and sticks fit perfect being the cinch pack. If you were worried about sticking out could just turn it long ways. I did at one time have the xl predator. Basically a cfx’s fat cousin. Nice platform. Cfx may be a good option

I like tethered offering the platform pouch. To help protect the pack and the platform! I ride a bike on one of my access opportunities and have to have my bow or gun on the pack on my way in. Plus the 2-3miles of swamp hiking I do on my sets it’s nice to have it all back there. I don’t like the items contacting each other so wrap them with my layering options.

This is my second season using Arsenal RZR. No complaints. Sorry I do not have anything other than a hawk platform attached to my top stick to compare it to.

Arsenal seems to make the best platforms. I have the standard size latitude profile and it struggles to really bite the tree, especially up top. I have to toe hook it multiple times. But, it does fold down completely flat, so easy to pack without tearing up my other stuff

The invader I have seems safe. The teeth really dig into the tree. I still use the strap it came with. The only noise I can remember is when hanging and the buckle of the strap hits the stand.
All in all it’s decent just wish it was a little bigger.

Which rzr version do you have? The elite is on my radar. Appreciate the feedback!
I have the rzr 2.0. Bought it used last summer. Really wasn’t sold on getting a new platform at the time but it checked the boxes I had in mind and was a good deal. No regrets.

I have the tetherd and love it, size 12.5 boots, no issues at all.

Of the ones listed so far, ive had the XOP Edge, Trophyline EDP, and the Hunt Arsenal Rzr Elite.

I hated the edge. Very heavy for its size to weight ratio compared to other offerings, and I could never get it to bite the tree as much as I liked.

The trophyline EDP is an awesome platform. Its built like a tank, bites the tree extremely well, has a decent size, and doesnt weigh a ton. The only downside to it for me is the post makes it a bit more difficult to pack compared to some of the fold flat options out there.

I picked up the Arsenal Elite this year. This thing is sweet. Folds down super flat, weighs next to nothing, bites the tree hard, and has plenty of room for my size 12s. Im on the upper edge of the 300lb weight limit at 285, and it holds me solid. I use the Hangfree HFAS pro to attach mine, rather than the rope it came with.

It fits in my bane pocket like it was meant to ride in there.

Hate the XOP Edge as well. Have several Trophyline Mission’s i use for some pre-sets, it’s a larger platform and gives a little extra space to turn completely around (wear size 14 boots).

I will probably purchase an Arsenal one prior to next season
