Saddle platform

After using a saddle platform exclusively for several years, and taking quite a few deer from them, I finally said screw it and bought a millenium m7 microlite treestand. Sub 10 lbs and I can use it as a stand or platform. When it all works out the way you planned, a tiny saddle platform is fine. But when deer catch you off guard and come from the wrong direction, I would end up in a real bind trying to get turned around. It is a non issue with a tree stand size platform. Stand up and spin which ever direction you desire.
