Maybe not bow of the year but most definitely the most improved bow of the year without a doubt! There price is just un bearable for a bow that only shoots as good as the other NOW..

They need to fix the 29.5” issue on the cams. The Ventum pro is a nice bow, but getting “the shaft” on speed at that DL vs 28 and 29 is a bit weird.
Im in the same boat, I have a ultra at 30.5' and im trying to force myself to shoot at 30" to gain 12 fps

Which is exactly why so many are raving about the bow.
I work at an archery shop and I've shot all the mainstream bows for the last 6 years comparing them all. In my opinion this rx7 ultra is just plane different. Really high quality construction. Absolutely mind blowing draw cycle 70lbs feels like 60lbs. The grip is awesome. Bow is super balanced. Holds very steady at distance. Very easy to tune. The built in quivers from Hoyt mount on lights out and you can bring that quiver in so close to bow it doesn't throw your balance off at all. The sidebar mount and lower stabilizer just plane works. The only down side is your going to lose some speed but I'll take accuracy over speed and plus you can shoot a higher poundage to balance it out.

Funny how people says it "holds like no other" and they don't even have a sight installed. It's a nice bow no doubt, but people are making it out to be something it's not.

What's the issue with shooting at 29.5" DL? Versus 29" or 30"? Just wondering. Thanks

Well, it does come right out the box with weight added to the lower portion of the riser.

Tho hold mostly comes from draw length, the effect of low mass on the bow helps too.

Just put me in the group of not liking the draw cycle, it doesn't ramp up, but it pulls from the first 1/2" all the way through. I prefer something that starts a little easier. I could get use to it, but I'm done with carbon for a riser.

See link, still an issue with the pro.
The Ventum was 29” DL maxed on the shorter module. The RX7 ultra is 30” maxed on the shorter module. So wouldn’t a 30.5” draw be the dog DL on the ultra, instead of 29.5” like on the ventum? The guy on the video explained it as slower because it was on the shortest setting of the longer draw module. By the way, thanks for the response. Was news to me either way.

Mixing a couple things on this thread, but on the 2022 V Pro 33, 29.5 puts you low on the cam which hurts your speed big time. Some guys say speed isn't everything, and that may be true, but when you're dealing with shoulder issues, you want a nice draw, and hopefully some speed to sacrifice the low poundage you're pulling which normally works out for a guy with a longer draw. Not the case with the V PRO.

The 29.5 puts you pretty high on the The RX7 Ultra but the bow is pretty slow ( hence the reason so many want 80lb limbs) so you're not really gaining much.

I think I mentioned it above, if there is a positive on the V PRO when you are @ 29.5, and low on the cam, it seems to draw nicer than the Ulta at least for me, and what my shoulder tells me.

Soundfanz - I have add the opportunity to shoot both the RX7 Ultra & Vista 35 @. 31.5” draw/70 lb draw weight. Both bows have great fit /finish, both dead in the hand after the shot, great grips and both quiet on the shot. Both both have a solid back wall. The only difference I could notice was the draw cycle. The Hoyt in my opinion was just a little stiffer through the draw cycle than the Athens. Don‘t get me wrong, they both shoot amazing. The best two bows this long draw guy has ever shot. I did however order a new Athens 35.
Did you ever get the chance to shoot PSE EVL or EVO NXT ?

Love Mine, I've owned Many bows.id say the vxr 28 was a favorite and the RX 5 was good.
Had a RX 4 ultra and an rx 3, and several others. The RX 7 Ultra is no joke! Very good on the shot I'm a 30" DL and my 500grn. Black Eagle Spartan 300 spine. Shot bullet holes in just a couple adjustments, swaped out factory string to GAS Ghost camo and its even better.
But speed is 70# ,500 grn. 272 FPS. duo 3 shots on chronograph. It's so solid on shot release and the picatiny mount from black gold works great on my Mt. Lite 3 pin. If not Bow of the year it's got to be close.

Interesting reading. I am curious if all of the RX7's are more difficult to tune than the ultra's? Looking to get a new bow in the spring and with a 28" draw, the 7 looks to be the better choice but I don't want to mess with a difficult tuning bow.
