RX7 Ultra is the best bow I've owned in a very long time! Had mine little over 2 weeks and working on what stab setup and stab position/bar length/weight works best.
Very smooth drawing, totally vibe free and quiet. Tuned in no time at 3/4" center shot. Shoots bullet holes and was perfect on the walk back tune.

I've been working on Stabs too. I'm really liking a 6" in the bottom front and the 8" on the back. I had the 10" on the front up top but I felt like I was constantly having to pull the bow up to aim like that.

I’m a lefty so it’s dang near impossible to try anything in my neck of the woods. I did get to hold and look at an RX7 Ultra and a PSE Levitate. The Lev was shockingly lightly but that’s as far as my knowledge goes. The shop owner said and I have read, the RX is a lot more forgiving over the Lev. I’ll be checking back in a few months when he finally has bows in. However, that’s a nice set up you have there.

Nice to have a 31.5" draw. I can get those speeds pulling a lot less weight lol.

Subjective for sure but............ My bow shop is 5 mins from my office so I'm in there all of the time unfortunately $$$$$$

But I did get to shoot all of the 2022 bows on many occasions so I did have a good feel for all of the new bows. But yes, subjective.
Nice rig.
Did you by chance shoot the Athens Vista range?

Soundfanz - I have add the opportunity to shoot both the RX7 Ultra & Vista 35 @. 31.5” draw/70 lb draw weight. Both bows have great fit /finish, both dead in the hand after the shot, great grips and both quiet on the shot. Both both have a solid back wall. The only difference I could notice was the draw cycle. The Hoyt in my opinion was just a little stiffer through the draw cycle than the Athens. Don‘t get me wrong, they both shoot amazing. The best two bows this long draw guy has ever shot. I did however order a new Athens 35.

If you have a 29.5" draw, try the Ventum Pro 33 vs the RX7 Ultra and report back on draw cycle. You may be surprised. Only drawback, speed penalty being 29.5 vs 29 on that cam.

The Ultra is nice, a smooth draw for sure. I have tried to tune a regular RX7 for my buddy after the shop failed, a total PIA to get rid of right tear - his grip or mine. We got it but I don’t like moving a cam almost all the way to one side or the other. Ultimately had to settle for a rest movement so the arrow doesn’t run down the center at rest- hate that. Crazy how much better the ultra is to tune.
I had the exact same issue with my RX-7 custom color combo. Ended up selling it within 3 weeks! First bow in many years that I was not able to tune the way I wanted. The Ultras have always been sweet shooters. I've moved on to a different manufacturer for now, but may revisit the Hoyts later this year.

Warning: Do not post about your RX-7 issues in the Hoyt specific section of AT!!

I read all that stuff over there and didn’t dare post, but I did think it was crazy someone couldn’t get it tuned, now I’m a believer. Still staying with my good ole RX4’s - that’s the ultra Ultra! Bring back the yokes!

I've been reading a bit about the RX7 tuning issues over on AT. Are these limited to just the RX7 and not the Ultra? Been considering a move back over to Hoyt but not sure if I want to take that chance or not.

Yes. Just some of the RX-7s. It seems to be hit or miss with them. I haven't heard of any Ultras or aluminums having any odd tuning tendencies. The Ultra is a fine bow!

Good to hear! I'm definitely leaning more towards the Ultra. Just need to decide if it's worth moving on from my Mach 1.

Just saw a video 81# @ 28 x 480 grains 267ish……
Are you sure about those numbers? I'm shooting 80.2lbs 480gn arrow 29" draw getting 294-295 fps on 3 different chrono's. At 28" they should be betting 287 ish.

Yeah, all of the complaining is 3 guys and 2 of them are the same guy with 2 different accounts because he keeps getting banned.

That doesn't surprise me in the least bit. I've spent as much time on AT as the next guy, but that place can be pretty interesting at times. I appreciate the follow up!
