FYI, the AB Raptor 8 .375 weighs 10.1 oz on my scale. It has 8 baffles compared to 4 in the 360 Ti.
Have you shot it against anything but that gemtech? I shot it against several other cans on my 6.5 and 300 prc with a 30 cal endcap. It was the lightest and smallest, but it was extremely loud and it reduced recoil the least by far. It was also surprisingly loud with 9mm subs on my pistol. If I have to wear ear pro to shoot a shot or 2 i dont think the juice is worth the squeeze for a particular suppressor personally. If it had 2 or 3 more baffles it would be way betterThe Raptor 8 is about 50% heavier then. Still light overall, but the 360Ti is a feather.
Another side note. The recoil reduction on a .338 WM is pretty substantial. Between the recoil reduction and the reduced muzzle blast I was surprised how much easier it made it to shoot. Other than being silly expensive, I'm happy with it.
I’m wanting a lightweight can to put on a 18-20” .338 WBY RPM. Can the AB handle this? What can that is light-er?At 15.4 oz., I would not be interested at all in that can. The AB Raptor is the ideal balance of sound suppression and versatility.
Reach out to them. They are super responsive and helpful. I would think it would be fine, but best to go to the source.I’m wanting a lightweight can to put on a 18-20” .338 WBY RPM. Can the AB handle this? What can that is light-er?

That all makes sense for that use case.Negative. But that's fairly irrelevant for my uses. I have no doubt that a larger volume, more heavily baffled can will have better suppression, but length and weight were far more important considerations for me. Since the alternative in my case is a un-suppressed rifle, this one will do the trick for me very nicely.
l will nearly always use ear pro at the range (due to other guns around me), so all it needs to do is keep me and my partners safe for those handful of hunting shots. The level of suppression is plenty for that.
The use case for this particular suppressor in my mind is:
1. Medium bore (.338 or .358) field guns. Very few "hunting" type options in this market.
2. UL mountain rifles where oz's count in the build.
For long range guns, larger magnums, 6.5's, high round count guns, etc... I'd likely agree it's too expensive for what you get. It's hardly a dud though when used as I am doing.

That’s certainly my favorite suppressor, but not in the same versatile category as the AK 360 or AB variations, in that it’s limited to 30 cal. The first two being the only options for .338 and up in a lightweight titanium can, sub 10 oz.Weird that nobody is referencing this thread, but I’m not a suppressor guy so maybe it’s irrelevant
Silencerco Scythe TI review
Ryan asked me to create a thread for the Scythe. They are sending him one, so I'm sure he will post his thoughts here as well. Ive only had one range day with it, I will be testing it more and will add any new thoughts to this thread after I can get back to the woods to shoot. I used it on my...rokslide.com
Sounds like you might as well not even use a suppressor. That’s kind of like using an Alaskan Ti, you just save more weight.
That’s awesome.Picked up three blacktail bucks on Afognak Island last week with the .338 WM / 360Ti combo. As a hunting specific suppressor, this thing is money. Really takes the bite out of that gun and I give up nothing on the handling.
Obviously a .338 is a touch large for blacktail... but not for the brown bear cleaning up our gutpiles.

@B_Reynolds_AK do you have a real world weight on that raptor 8? I had my mind made up on the 6 but the 8 is in stock locally here in Fairbanks. Trying to decide if waiting on a 6 to ship to AK is worth the hassle of less than 2oz difference between the two in the grand scheme of things. If advertised weights are accurate. Counting ounces makes things overly complicated sometimes.Buy a AB Raptor 8 or 10 in .338 or .375 and you'll be far happier.

Thanks. I'm guessing that's set up flush or a short reflex?10.1 oz on my digital scale.
Direct mount, no reflex.Thanks. I'm guessing that's set up flush or a short reflex?
