Ruger gen 2 6mm creed

Well I walked into scheels tonight to kill some time and they had a gen 2 ruger in a 6 creed... I have been looking for a 6 arc ranch but I couldn't leave the creed behind. That being said has anyone been hindered shooting heavier bullets with the 7.7 twist? Also anyone got any 6 creed pet loads to break in the barrel?

I helped a buddy sight in his Ruger American in 6.5 CM and was impressed with the accuracy. I wouldn’t mind picking up the Gen 2 with a niche cartridge for a fun all purpose shooter.

I have been working up loads on one for a friend. Very surprised how well it shoots. H4350 and 105 vld under 1/2 moa, but velocity is way down from what I usually get from 6 creeds, but I normally run longer barrels. I am playing with superformance and 109 eldm now and accuracy is good, at 2980 fps. The trigger is bad, but changing spring i got under 2 1/2 pounds. The bolt lift is hard also. There is a aftermarket cocking piece that is supposed to help that issue. Have not tried it yet. All in all it is a nice rifle for the money. I dont normally care for factory rifles, but would have no issue owning one of these.

Care to share some info on the superformance load? I happen to have a few pounds I used to load my 22 250 with and some 87 vmaxs and 105 bthps that I'm gunna throw a generic load together to get it sighted in with
