I have one of the Go Wild versions and I agree with what others have said. It is extremely accurate with factory ammo. The stock feels a little on the cheap plasticky side but it doesn’t bother me much because I use it as a backpacking gun that I don’t have to worry about scratching up. For the money, it shoots as well as some of the more expensive rifles I own. Really like it actually.

Thanks for the information guys. I’m going to buy it this morning on my way to work.

Ridiculously accurate for the money. I threw an on-sale Boyd's on mine and bedded it. It is heavy, but for the local hunts it really doesn't matter to me. I was handloading Barnes Lrx, but the factory ammo shot just as good as my hand loads so I was using that back when it was cheap.

Did they have anymore at that price. I’m in WI and might be worth a drive or a phone call.
I would call any of the stock and fields and see. I was waiting on a Tikka and someone scooped it up ahead of me so I bought the Ruger American. This was the last one in Morris, IL. Apparently they sell out tomorrow

I have on in 223 that I bought for about $400. It may be the most accurate rifle I have ever shot.

Mine has the old rotary magazine which Im not crazy about. Does anyone know if I can convert that to AICS magazines and get them in 5 shot flush mount?

Thank You!

You'd have to swap stocks on it. Only way it will work. I might still have the takeoff from my predator which used AICS. Might be able to use that. Shoot me a PM if you're interested. I'd let it go cheap.

Call Ruger. If you have the American that has the sorta elongated diamond shaped bottom piece that the rotary mag snaps into, then yes you can change to Aics mags. I swapped my sons rifle over to Aics last spring after the rotary mags started failing. Ruger shipped it to me for around $25. They definitely aren't flush to the stock though.

Great info- do they hang down from the stock quite a bit?

Thank You!
