Ruger American Gen 2 experiences

This is incorrect. They actually start at $750ish so the price delta between the two is much less. IMO, you get a substantially better gun for not a lot more money with the Tikka. The rugers are fine for what they are. I had a gen 1 and sold it but it was a decent shooter although the mags, trigger, and stock sucked.
threaeded barrel Tikka - Bass pro starts em at $1050 or $1100. The sales price w rebate comes out at $875 for threaded barrel Tikka.

For clarity - the $750 version is not threaded.

It is all about what you like. Enjoy your Tikka.

If you can buy a threaeded barrel Tikka for $750, please share your source. Bass pro starts em at $1050 or $1100.

The $750 version is not threaded. You have to send it out to be threaded. Prove me wrong. I was just there yesterday.

Who shops at Bass pro? The new ones have MT at the end of the UPC. They are out there. There’s an entire post on the new threaded versions.

I guess i stand corrected. If ida known could get a threaded one for 750 probably would have.

You got a good price. I was looking and finding numbers with a comma.

We dont have many gun shops down here - mostly pawn. Its all the same to me w bass pro.

Wife interrupted my post change.

Interesting. I got a fluted barrel, threaded, cerakoted Gen 2 Ranch for $250 less than a Tikka that's even remotely set up the same. Timney trigger and a different stock and I'm still under the Tikka price. It's a truck gun and short range rifle and does the job very well. There's definitely more aftermarket options available for the Tikkas. But I don't needa farkled or rifle to hunt with

What kind of stock are you upgrading to that can be had + a Timney Trigger for the $250 price difference you referenced?
