Ruger American Gen 2 .308 Ammo Recommendations

Just set up my little brother’s gun today and couldn’t get decent groups with 168 Eldm or 155 Black. Everything was paint penned and torqued to spec. Shot off both bags and bipod. Stock doesn’t appear to be contacting the barrel. I set the trigger to 3lbs and also had three different shooters so I am assuming that this gun is just gonna be picky. He doesn’t have the biggest budget so he will only be able to test a box or two at a time. Looking for ammo recommendations for those having success with the Ruger Gen 2 in .308 or any other potential issues.

Ended up sanding out the barrel channel and reshooting the Eldms, Federal Terminal Assent, and Gold Medal Match and that managed to tighten the groups up.
