Looking at adding to the home gym.

Is the C2 still the standard?

Every single rowing club, at every school across the country, is 100% using Concept 2 ergs. Every training center, every boathouse. No other model has this much universal implementation across any other piece of equipment that I can recall.

Found a deal for a concept 2 model d. Little older. But the price is right.

Know it is 14inch clearance not 20. I'm 6'2

Any issues you can think of?

Your height should be fine, rowers are very tall.

Check the mechanism is smooth, nothing feels like it's grinding.

The computer on the older ones can fail, it's a few hundred dollars to replace and they're not easy to find.

I've had a Concept2 rower for 10 years. No issues, operates just as smooth as the first day I bought it. Only have to replace the battery on the display.

It's worth buying the iPad display for it. For longer, steady-state rowing sessions it's clutch to be able to watch something.

My Concept C rower monitor died and I called the factory and bought a new model one and I'm still rowing just fine after 20 years.

I have a concept and love it, but I am interested in the rogue echo since it folds really quick for storage.

Picked up a 7year old concept 2 for 300 bucks. Pretty low meters on it to boot. Wife loves it, 3 year old has even gotten into it. And I'm digging it as a change up to mix into the running/rucking routine.
