Roosevelts from a tree stand

Anyone on here do it? I started using a saddle for blacktails and it went very well this last fall. I really think it would be a good tool for roosevelts in the coast range but it’s proved rather difficult to nail down a good spot. My thoughts are on the commonly used trails in the timber next to clear cuts or sitting over a patch of fresh rubs and wallows. The most common things I’ve read is to sit over water but that’s not so applicable in the rain forest. Does anyone have a good system that I could glean from for next season?
