I ordered one 2/1 with expected lead time of 120 days. I may just order a McMillan tomorrow and sell the Rokstok when it gets here next year. I was hoping it was accurate based off the emails I sent beforehand. Starting to feel like a SWFA thread. Hope I’m wrong!

What makes you think it will be next year? They have been on time with all 3 I have ordered.

Man if the carbon Rokstock is up to about 36.6 oz. Thats all the more reason for me to use my DIY wood one. I’m 37oz with butter pad, Mini arca, sling studs and mini pic rail

Nobody really knows a timeline was my point. I’m glad your 3 have worked out well for you. I’m pulling for them just not a great feeling reading these posts on the expected timelines.

I'm starting to look at ordering one or two of these. The increased weight shouldn't affect me too much since I don't have to actually carry the rifle around all day for the majority of the hunting I do. I also don't need them immediately so I can stand the weight times. I just don't want to have to send it back because of QC issues.

Being it is my first time order this stock I've got a few questions. Apologies for length and if any of this has been addressed previously, I wasn't able to find it in a quick search.

1. I have a Tikka T3x lite in .223 and a Tikka Roughtech in 6.5 CM that I was looking on getting the stocks for. What barrel channel should I order? I assumed the Factory Sporter, but when I emailed UM Alexander recommended Ace 3, Bart 3B, BM5 profile. He did say that the channels he recommended would give me the most options in the future if I ever re-barrel. What makes the most sense for my factory barrels? Would a wider channel have any negative effects?

2. Alexander also made it sound like I would ship my barreled actions to them, and they would custom fit the stocks to them. I thought I was just ordering the stock online and bolting it on myself when it arrived. What have most here done? My reading here makes me think it gets shipped to the individual to install themselves.

3. Is it worth adding the LOP kit? I'm a pretty averaged sized guy where the off the shelf sizes and lengths typically work well. My wife, who is smaller than me, will also be using these rifles. Alexander said they can put the smallest 1/4" spacer in and ship the others loose, but is it even worth doing that?

4. Is it worth adding the leather cheek rest and if so, does it ship installed or is that a DIY item shipped loose?

5. The description reads that QD cups come with the stock. Am I correct in that?

6. Is it worth getting the Trinity rail? I don't currently use a bi/tri pod that would require a rail, but I like having the options in the future.

Just get a proof channel, it will have visible room around it but hurts nothing and can only help.

You send in for some actions but not Tikkas

Yea get the kit, most people need some extra, again cant hurt other than a small up charge

Maybe mabye not on cheek rest, I dont use one but would need to if I used higher rings.

Mine came with QD cups on the regulars.

With the Rokstoks coming in 5-6 ounces heavier, it creates a bigger separation between it and the lite. This may very well be why they are heavier recently or Stockys QC is just that bad, idk.

Negative.. The RokStok Lites are also coming in 4 - 5 ounces heavier... My RokStok Lite is 27 - 28 ounces depending on the scale I use and with the Arca removed. Otherwise, it's the base model. UM advertises the base model to be 23 ounces on their website.

This is not just me, everyone who has picked up a RokStok Lite at the Expo, and has reported their weight here, reported weights materially higher than what UM has been marketing on here. UM has great products but it's really quite annoying.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you'd like to shoot my Rokstok. It has the LOP kit, so you can kind of get a feel for what you like before you order.

That's what I was saying. They are both heavier, so there is a gap between them. If the Rokstok stayed at it's original weight, they would only be 4 oz. Apart.

Hey everyone, finally got around to calling UM to ask about the increased weight, they did indeed confirm that the weight of the newer Rokstoks is more than the original batches, for durability reasons. They had to beef up a couple of areas of concern, notably the grip and the front of the inletting.

Must be some of the originals are breaking?

I haven't read every post in this thread but I don't remember seeing any broken stocks. I feel like anyone who had that big of an issue would have posted here.

UM has already addressed this. Stocky’s has been told to not ship any Lites that weigh more than 23oz. Not one stock after the show, and the heavy weight was found has been shipped to anyone.

No, you're right that's probably the issue. I'm just surprised we haevn't seen or heard of any breaking.

A few (4 I believe total out of 1,200 or so) got cracks in the comb- about 1oz of epoxy was added there to keep it from happening. RokStoks should be about 32oz +/- 1oz or so. The issue, is Stokys is inconsistent in how much epoxy gets applied, and no one was weighing every stock because it shouldn’t require it.

Anyone that wants to send a stock back and get another due to being overweight, or that wants to send it back and get refunded- UM will do so.

See above- 1oz or so should have been added: about 32-33oz +/- is what they should be.
