RokStok

I like that the Rostock and rs1.2 on my 223 are an exact match for my bigger gun in terms of training. But it also feels way to substantial on a 223. I feel like a Rostock lite and a much lighter scope like the swfa 3-9 would be a better set up if the 223 is a user not a trainer. Though I am leaning toward adding another 223 vs reconfiguring this one, will have to see once the lites come out.

I also started with all the spacers in and settled on 1 being the best fit for me if shooting a combo of sitting, prone, and standing. Im using UM lows on mine.
Probably a good plan. But my 223 isn’t so much a trainer for me anymore. It’s become my primary hunting and shooting gun. I probably haven’t shot two boxes of ammo through my 6.5 in the last year. So keeping the stocks consistent isn’t really a thing for me.

Anyone else get an email yesterday saying UM placed your order at Stockeys for your Rokstok? It said typical lead time is 120 days, I am guessing that is from today and not when I ordered it?
Yep same email - 120 days from the order placed with stockys I guess.... that sucks to tack another 5 weeks on to the wait.

I actually asked about that - when they opened up railed tikkas I thought it was 90d lead, then got that email yesterday at 120d. I asked if that 120 was starting yesterday and they said no, from original order. I still canceled, which was no hassle to UMs credit, and have a Bastion showing up next week (my barreled action was ready months earlier than anticipated) as an easy button.

Met @TradLife406 to buy a pack off of him, and while I was there, got to check out his Rokstok’d Tikka. Really like how it feels, and it’s definitely on my list to get.
