RokStok

@Unknown Munitions you guys should post all the rokstocks you've done in the gallery. That way it gives folks a better idea of what the actual patterns look like on the rokstocks.
Doesn't cost anymore to dream big.
UM should have an interactive Rokstok builder on the web site, that lets you configure the paint scheme any way you want!

What’s the balance like on that guy?

Does the cock ring actually help with time to first shot or is it more a mental thing?
It's balanced right at the Arca rail where the tripod is attached. Titanium suppressor so not as forward heavy as it looks.

Unsuppressed/no dampener: ~1.3 MOA
Unsuppressed/+ dampener: ~0.6 MOA
Suppressed/+- dampener: ~0.6 MOA

Shooting 180 grain Federal Trophy Coppers in 300 WM, had similar performance with other copper loads. One day I'll add reloading to my list of hobbies and properly develop a load for it, but until then, the cock ring stays.

Sorry, misread the question. No effect on time to first shot that I've noticed, I didn't even know that was a thing that people used deresonators to do

ROKSTOK UPDATE

Hey Roksliders,

I hope everyone is enjoying their Rokstoks in the field! We've had a huge amount of positive feedback on stock shootability the more they are out in the wild.

We have been working diligently with @Stockys and they have stepped up production to fill all of your orders in a timely manner.

On May 19th at 1600 HRS PST we will re open all Rokstok orders including railed Tikkas. We need to keep Stockys busy on these and they are currently running out of our orders to produce. What that means is almost every stock ordered is here at UM or on it's way to us causing a little backlog in our Cerakote dept.

Some changes to this drop will be more limited Cerakote options with easier communication. Basically no more bare carbon or single color, both of these options tend to highlight even the smallest imperfections and like almost every other stock manufacturer, are easily disguised with sponge patterns. Providing this info is to maintain transparency with our customer base and to show that we are continually learning throughout this process.

Each stock will include 1-3 color sponge pattern at no additional charge. You can select one of the pre-designed options by number from the product or you can specify up to 3 exact H-Series Cerakote colors in the box provided. You can also still request tears beneath your sponge pattern of you'd like.

You can still opt in for full pattern, but that will increase your lead time by several weeks.

After implementing our QC card process, we have drastically reduced the number of issues reaching the customer. We will continue to learn and adapt moving forward and make this stock purchase process the easiest we can for you.

Rokstok Lite is currently finished being digitally scanned and we should see some printed versions for approval very soon. Generally afterwards its about 6 weeks total for an etched mold to be produced and then we will start testing real stocks.

As always, thank you all for your continued support of our partners including Unknown Munitions, Stockys Stocks, Salmon River Solutions, Shoot2Hunt, Rokslide, and now Unknown Suppressors!

For those of you interested, the OG drops 6/2/25, be the first to experience our over the barrel hunting can.

Excited about this. Lefty Tikka order coming your way!

Just got my august order... Just a heads up, don't get tactical grey. I am disappointed with how my paint job came out. The stock I got this time last year (now owned by @mxgsfmdpx) in the tear pattern looked great.... this one, not so much.

EDIT: Some of this I believe was difference in terminology between the "old" cerakote crew, and the new one, as well as just some misunderstanding. I emailed UM and they are going to touch it up. Amazing customer service as always.

What pattern do you call the second (old) one?

It was the tear pattern with fde and OD green. And black webbing (NOT splatter) I think they used to use a black fade around the tear pattern, so you may want to ask for that as well, or just send them a picture
I really like this one off their site, or a battleworn distressed look in grey.

It's been one year since I received my first Rokstok.

It has been on 3 different rifles, 5 different barrels, and now has a permanent home bedded to this Tikka 223 action.

I'm not overly or purposely "mean" to my guns but they definitely get used. @NSI did mention that my backseat full of gear/guns/ammo all piled on each other was an absolute shit show haha.

This stock has just over 11,000 rounds on it between the different guns and it hasn't missed a beat. Zero issues with the carbon structure, inletting, or the Spartan Pic rail/scalloped fore-end.

The cerakote scratches as expected, and normal wear spots on fore-end, butt stock, and bolt cutout are down to bare carbon in spots. This doesn't cause any issues whatsoever in shooting and hunting and overall I think it's held up well. Examples here...

It's also still doing this nearly every day, 77 TMKs sure do slap canal road bunnies...

If you had concerns with longevity or heavy field use I would honestly put those to bed and order these for all your guns. There hasn't been a single shooter in multiple dozen users over the last year that didn't love shooting this stock.

Are you bedding your RS’s? I have 2 and just throwing them on 2 different rifles I can see a need for pillar and glass bedding? Curious on your set up.

To add to the above, I do have my butt stock nearly fully covered in vet wrap for our 5 month summers in here AZ. That has helped with the cerakote lasting as well.

You may need epoxy bedding, but you don’t need pillars
